Size Guide

Finding a dress that fits well starts with understanding how sizing works across our collection. Many Neqavelli pieces are designed with occasion dressing in mind, and the way a garment sits on your body can vary depending on the silhouette, fabric, and construction of each individual style. This guide explains how to take useful measurements, how to read the size information on a product page, and what to do when you are deciding between two sizes.

Start with the product page

Before measuring, open the page for the specific item you are considering. Different styles can use different size references, and the most reliable information is always the size chart, garment measurements, or fit notes shown on that product page. If a product page includes a size chart, check whether it lists body measurements or finished garment measurements before comparing it with your own numbers.

Body measurements vs. garment measurements

These two types of measurements answer different questions.

  • Body measurements describe your own body. They are useful for understanding which size range may be the closest starting point.
  • Garment measurements describe the finished piece itself, such as the width across the bust or the length from shoulder to hem. They tell you how much room the garment provides.

Do not treat a garment measurement as if it were your body measurement, and do not assume a body measurement equals the space inside the dress. When a product page does not label its size information clearly, use the measurements as a comparison tool rather than a guarantee of fit.

How to measure for dresses and sets

Many Neqavelli styles are dresses or two-piece sets, so the most useful measurements are usually the bust, waist, and hips. Use a soft, flexible tape measure and keep it snug but not tight. The tape should lie flat against your skin without twisting or pressing in.

  • Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your bust while wearing the type of undergarment you plan to wear with the piece. Keep your arms relaxed at your sides.
  • Waist: Measure around your natural waistline, which is usually the narrowest point of your torso. Stand naturally and do not pull the tape tight.
  • Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping the tape level from front to back.

For styles with a defined waistline, such as a high-waisted pants set, compare your waist measurement with the relevant product information. For column or maxi silhouettes, the bust and hip measurements are often the most helpful reference points.

Using a garment you already own

If you have a similar piece that fits well, you can measure it as a secondary reference. Lay the garment flat on a smooth surface and measure across the bust, waist, and hips, then compare those numbers with any garment measurements shown on the product page. This is a comparison method only. A measurement taken from another garment is not the same as your body measurement, and it does not guarantee that a new style will fit the same way.

Choosing between sizes

If your measurements fall between two sizes, look at the specific product page before deciding. Check whether the style is described as slim, relaxed, or fluid, and consider which part of the garment is most important for your comfort. For example, a close-fitting column dress may feel different through the hips than a relaxed maxi with a softer drape. Your preferred wearing experience matters as much as the numbers, but no single rule applies to every style.

Height, weight, age, or your usual size in another brand are not reliable ways to choose a size on their own. Use them only as background context, never as the main reason for a decision.

Size options you may see

Many Neqavelli pieces are offered in letter sizes from XS through 3XL. This range appears on several styles, but it does not mean every product uses the same fit or measurement scale. Always check the selected size and any size-specific information on the product page. Color and style options are separate from size and should not be treated as sizing information.
